  1. There is a city in Ohio ( Mingo Junction) that is named after the tribe Mingo. ( Just south of Steubenville ohio on the Ohio River ) Not sure about the spelling. Is / Was there such a tribe or maybe a sub of another tribe?

  2. How do you put the Lumbees from North Carolina who are not a recognize native tribe, but don’t recognize all the Pueblo tribes in New Mexico, especially the oldest tribe in NM (Acoma).

    1. The Puebloans are covered under our article Ancient Puebloans. The Acoma also have a dedicated article (Acoma Pueblo – Ancient Sky City). Other articles that may interest you regarding the Puebloans include: Pueblo Indians – Oldest Culture in the U.S., Ancient & Modern Pueblos – Oldest Cities in the U.S., and Ancient Cities and Places of the Native Americans,

We address the Lumbee in our summary and refer to their situation.
We will review the “list” and “summaries” to make sure tribes we have already written about are included. Thanks for your input!
