National Parks, Monuments & Historic Sites

See America

Since 1916, the U.S. National Park Service has been entrusted with the care America’s National Parks, as well as our historic and natural landmarks, and national heritage areas.

Many of our natural parks contain historic places that represent important aspects of that history. Collectively, these places present an American history textbook, a that educates visitors about the people, events, buildings, objects, landscapes, and artifacts of American History.
