Jim Ramer – A member of the Seven Rivers Warriors who fought in New Mexico’s Lincoln County War. After the war, he disappeared into history.

Eugenio Rascon – A gunman, he shot and killed Demas Garcia in New Mexico on November 18, 1883.

Robert Redding – A New Mexico gunman, he shot and killed a Central City, Colorado man in October 1888.

James B. Reese – A member of the Seven Rivers Warriors who fought in New Mexico’s Lincoln County War. He was killed by the Sanchez brothers at Tularosa, New Mexico on August 2, 1878.

Levi Richardson (1851-1879) – Killed in the Richardson-Loving Gunfight at the Long Branch Saloon in Dodge City, Kansas by “Cockeyed” Frank Loving.

Robert Richardson – A gunman, he shot and killed Louis Lesser on November 12, 18 81 in Tesuque, New Mexico

Barney Kemp Riggs (1856-1902) – A Texas outlaw and gunfighter, he was killed at Fort Stockton, Texas in 1902.

John Henry Riley – A partner in the DolanMurphy store in Lincoln, New Mexico, the Ireland immigrant was one of the main leaders of the Dolan-Murphy faction in the Lincoln County War. He died in 1916.

Johnny Ringo

Johnny Ringo (John Ringgold) (1850-1882) – Ringo earned a deadly reputation in numerous gunfights and fought with Scott Cooley in the Mason County War. Later he showed up in Tombstone, Arizona, where he hooked up with the Clanton Gang. Later he was found dead, some say at the hands of Wyatt Earp or Doc Holliday.

Petronilio Rivera – A gunman, he killed a man on October 23, 1884, in Tularosa, New Mexico.

John Roach – A gunman and gambler in Kingston, New Mexico.

Andrew L. Roberts, aka: Buckshot Roberts, Bill Williams (18??-1878) – A Texas Ranger, outlaw, and member of King Fisher’s Gang in New Mexico, Roberts heroically stood up against Billy the Kid and the Regulators in 1878 in what’s known as Buckshot Roberts Last Stand.

William Robertson – A gunman, he was shooting at an enemy when police killed him in April 1880 in Quemado, New Mexico.

Jesus Rodriguez – A gunman and horse thief, he fought with the Regulator in the Lincoln County War of New Mexico. Afterward, he disappeared.

Vincente Romero – Fought with the Regulators in the Lincoln County War of New Mexico. He was shot three times by MurphyDolan men and killed at Lincoln, New Mexico on July 19, 1878.

George A. “Roxy” Rose – A member of the John Kinney Gang during New Mexico’s Lincoln County War. Afterward, he disappeared.

Fred Roth – A gunman, he shot and killed James Spurlock in the Spring of 1885 on John Chisum’s Ranch in New Mexico.

T.N. Russell – A gunman and citizen of Coffeyville, Kansas, he killed Dick Broadwell when the Dalton Gang attempted to rob two banks on October 5, 1892.

P. Ryan – A gunman, he shot and killed Charles Walker on June 23, 1881, in San Marcial, New Mexico.

William L. Rynerson – A gunman and New Mexico legislator, he killed Territorial Chief Justice John P. Slough in Santa Fe. He was tried but acquitted. Later, he was a Dolan-Murphy gunman in the Lincoln County War.
