Cynthia Parker, 1861 with infant daughter

Born in Illinois around 1825, Cynthia Ann Parker’s life would be turned upside down at the age of 11 after being kidnapped by Comanche Indians in Texas on May 19, 1836. Raised by her Native Captors, Cynthia  would become the mother of Quanah Parker, who would go on to play an important role as the ‘last Comanche Chief.’ Read more about her incredible life here…
