We’re glad you found us!  Legends of America has been spreading the word of American History, travel destinations, legends and lore since 2003, and we finally decided it’s time to update our web design so that you can have a better reading experience on all your devices (laptops, phones, tablets, etch a sketch, whatever).

Since it’s just the two of us, this will be a work in progress for a while. That means some of our articles may still be on the older design. There may also be a few broken links, or things that just don’t look right, and we sure would appreciate it if you let us know!  Just copy the url and paste it in an Email to us.

Progress Report (10/22/17):

1,511 pages rebuilt

2,031 pages to go

Here’s some tips in finding what you’re looking for if a link is broken.

Not all, but most of our url naming structure is the same, without the .html extension at the end.

url – http: //

You can also use the search bar at the top of the page.

You can navigate by subject via our menus at the top of the page.

Known Issues

(10/23/17) – Internal Broken Links & Incoming Broken Links – For the most part, if you run into a page that’s broken, backspace over the .html at the end of the url and it will likely get you where you were going. We are still at the mercy of search engines catching up with the new url structure, and other websites (wikipedia, etc) whose links to us may still be broken.  For external links to our website, we continue to prioritize and redirect to the new url.

(09/27/17) – Slideshows not visible – Since moving to the secure SSL (makes links start with https and provides an encrypted page for your protection), our slideshows are no longer visible.  This is due to the fact they are coming from our photo website ( which has not implemented SSL technology beyond the normal account and checkout/payment pages. We hope to have resolution for this soon. In the meantime, feel free to click the link provided below where the slideshow would have been to view the photos.

Kathy and I truly appreciate all your support and encouragement over the years and hope you find our new web home as comfy as we do.
