and chasin' and often bout-facin'. And that is the edge of
the roundup. Text on back: The Round-Up was an integral
part of the
cowboy's life during the days of the
Old West as
it is today on modern ranches. Verse on front from a song by
the same name, Badger Clark, 1906. Postcard is brand
new and in mint condition.
Out Where the West Begins - Text on back: "Out Where the West Begins" No section of the U.S. remains more typical of the "Old West" than this section of the West as represented by the Hopi Pueblo at the top of this card of the Navajo home at the bottom. A visit long to be remembered. Vintage
postcard has writing on back in pencil.
Black Bart - Text on back: Charles Bolton, alias Charles
Boles, alias Black Bart, terrorized the California Wells
Fargo Stage Line from July of 1875 until November of 1883.
He accounted for 29 successful hold-ups. Bolton later
acknowledged that is double-barreled shotgun was never
loaded, because he did not want to take a chance of hurting
any of his victims. Vintage postcard is unused and in very
good condition.

Cherokee Strip Land Run 1893 -
Text on back: On September 16, 1893, the starting gun signaled the opening
of 6,400,000 acres of the Cherokee Outlet territory where 40,000 claims of 160
acres each were offered. Over 100,000 settlers participated in the Land Run.
The
Jersey Lilly - Judge Roy Bean's Court House, Langtry,
Texas
- Jersey Lilly Saloon contains the Hall of Justice presided over
by Judge Roy Bean, called the "Law West of the Pecos," from whose
judgments and decisions there was no appeal to a higher court.
Postcard is in good condition, unused, some damage from tape on
left side.
Billy the
Kid Grave- Text on
back: New Mexico. The iron cage surrounding the grave of
Billy the Kid and two of his "pals” was deemed necessary
after the Kid’s footstone was stolen several times. The
graves rest behind the Old Fort Sumner Museum, 7 miles south
of Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
Postcard is new, unused and in mint
condition.
