Riverside
Church, New York City - Text on back: Riverside Church at 122nd
St. and Riverside Drive. The Towering New Skyscraper summit is visible
far away in Jersey. It occupies a commanding site almost opposite
Grant's Tomb. The main body is of a traditional medieval type with nave
chancel, side aisles and two galleries with 13th Century French Gothic.
It has much of the same decorative effect as the cathedrals of France.
Grant's Tomb erected in memory of the famous general in recognition of
his services during the Civil War. Vintage linen postcard has writing on
back postmarked 1939 from New York, NY, intact 1 cent postmarked stamp,
postmark has bleed thru to front.

World’s Fair 1964-1965 "Peace through Understanding." The Unisphere in
the Fountain of the continents as seen from the observation tower of the
New York State Pavilion. The United States Pavilion and Shea Stadium
show prominently in the background. Vintage postcard is unused and in

Perrine's Bridge, Ulster County

County. Oldest covered bridge in New York State, it crosses the Wallkill
River… a favorite fishing spot. Postcard is new, unused and in excellent
condition.
Rondout II Lighthouse, Kingston

back: Rondout II Lighthouse, Kingston, New York. Rondout II Lighthouse
at the mouth of the Rondout Creek. Built in 1913, it was closed in 1954
when the light became automated. Restored by the city of Kingston and
The Hudson River Maritime Museum, it reopened as a museum in 1984.

Esopus Meadows Lighthouse, Hudson River

Completed in1871, this Mid-Hudson Lighthouse is the only one on the
Hudson River constructed with a wood frame and wood siding. The purpose
of its location was to warn mariners of the mudflats, the Esopus
Meadows. The lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic
Places and has been nicknamed "Maid of the Meadows." Postcard is new,
unused and in excellent condition.
Cave of the Winds, Niagara Falls -
Text on back: Rock of Ages and Cave of Winds, Niagara Falls. This view
from the foot of Luna Falls gives a good idea of the chaotic masses of
rock that are the debris of the precipice after it has been undermined b
the erosive power of the water. Behind Luna Falls is situated the
celebrated Cave of Winds. This vacant recess, 100 feet high and 60 feet
in depth, is reached by means of a perpendicular winding stairway from
Goat Island. The cave derives its name from the constant pressure of the
atmosphere, caused by the reflex of the falling water, which resembles a
storm of great violence. Vintage postcard is unused and in good
condition with slight edge/corner wear, note on back dates card 1913.
