Reno, Nevada - Text on back: Reno,
Nevada May 9, 1868.
In 1871 Reno became Washoe County seat taking the court house away from
Washoe City after a couple of lengthy court battles. Gambling was made
legal in Nevada in 1931 and Harold’s Club on the left was the first
casino to put gambling out in front in the store window. All other
gambling houses at that early date kept their gambling out of site in
the back rooms. The street is blocked off for an old fashion western six
gun shoot-out. Nevada, the Silver State, the nation’s number one gold
producer. 51% of the gold mined in the United States is mined in Nevada.

Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe

Tahoe. Emerald Bay offers a variety of activities to those visiting the
Lake Tahoe area. Visitors can cruise aboard a paddlewheel boat or sail
boat, picnic and swim in one of the public beaches, take a day hike or

Rhyolite, Nevada Ghost Town - Text on back:
Rhyolite
ghost town 1904. A Single blanket jackass prospector named Frank
"Shorty” Harris discovered gold in the Bullfrog Mountains. The town site
of Rhyolite was platted below and had 6000 inhabitants by 1907. Today
Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad Station is in good order and it’s bar,
restaurant are open to the public. There are several other concessions
in the area and more are expected. Nevada, the Silver Sate; 51% of the
gold mined in the U.S.A. is mined in Nevada! Postcard is new, unused and
in mint condition.
Valley of Fire, Nevada - Text on back: Valley of Fire,
Nevada. This valley is six miles long and three to four miles wide. A
continuous Mesizoic sandstone stretches from southern Colorado through
New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Valley of Fire was once inhabited
by Indians, who etched numerous petroglyphs in the soft rock. Postcard
is new, unused and in mint condition.

such attractions as gambling on the Vegas strip, alien sightings near

Emerald Bay is the most stunning and memorable feature of Lake Tahoe.
Three miles long and one mile wide, it is easily the most photographed

Boulder
City - No text on back. Vintage postcard is unused and in good
condition. (2 ¾ x 4 ½ card).
Old
Delta Saloon, Virginia City, Nevada - Text on back: The Old
Delta Saloon and Gambling Palace Virginia City,
Nevada. The Delta front is solid
Comstock Cedar, and made by McIntosh, architect, wood craftsman and
builder of the International Hotel front. Of the 100 saloons in Virginia
City the Delta was the most famous for its gaming room where Bonanza
Kings bucked the fare. It is known that $38,000 was lost on the turn of
a card. The Delta extends a hearty welcome to friends and visitors.

Virginia
City, Nevada - Text on back: Virginia City,
Nevada from Steeple of St. Mary's
Church. This bird’s-eye view, from the tall church spire, shows the
crumbling buildings of "C" Street, and above them the quaint
architecture of the court house and huge, barn-like Piper's Opera House,
where famous actors and singers held spellbound their audiences of
prospectors and miners. Vintage postcard is unused and in good
condition.
