Eagle Nest from the west on U.S. Highway 64. Vintage postcard is unused and
in very good condition.
Fort
Union - Text on back: Fort
Union National Monument. Officer's Row.
Only the chimneys and a few crumbling alls remain of
Fort Union's
Officer's Row. Upon completion in 1867, these quarters were considered
to be the finest west of the Mississippi River. Watrous,
New Mexico.

St. James Hotel - Text on back: The
Historic St. James Hotel,
Cimarron,
New Mexico 87714. Completed in
1880, the St. James played host to all aspects of the old West. Those
days are still evident in
Cimarron, as this "vehicle" can attest.

Coronado Ruins
- Text on back:
Coronado Ruins State Monument. Near Bernalillo,
New Mexico, about half way
between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. This was the winter
headquarters of Coronado in1540. It was from this point that
De Vargas, one of Coronado's lieutenants, left to go find
what is now known as the Grand Canyon, and Escalante,
another lieutenant went to Red River and on to Kansas
seeking the Seven Cities of Cibola. Vintage postcard is
unused and in good condition.
Papoose Room, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New
Mexico - Text on back: Papoose Room, Carlsbad Caverns
National Park, New Mexico.
This, the smallest of the four scenic rooms at the end of
the Main Corridor, was the last to be added to the cavern
trip. It is noted for its delicate ribbon stalactites or
draperies, some of which are still forming. Carlsbad Caverns
National Park is open every day in the yar. For complete

Pat Garrett
- Text on back:
Pat F. Garrett.
1850-1908. Called "The most famous Westerner of his time," he was a
rancher, businessman and peace officer. In 1881, as sheriff of Lincoln
County, he killed the notorious outlaw
Billy the Kid.
President Teddy Roosevelt appointed him Collector of Customs at El Paso in
1901. On Feb 29, 1908,
Garrett was
murdered by a cowboy in a dispute near Las Cruces,
New Mexico. Postcard is new and in mint
condition.
Taos
Pueblo-Village
- Text on back: The village of
Taos Pueblo is divided by a beautiful mountain stream. A foot bridge points to
the south side of the Pueblo.
Postcard is unused and in excellent condition.
St James Large - Located in historic
Cimarron of northeastern
New Mexico, the
Saint James Hotel was built in
1880 by Frenchman Henri Lambert. It has been lovingly restored to its past
elegance and offers visitors warm and friendly accommodations. The hotel
was a major stop in the
Santa Fe
Trail and is a National Landmark. Oversized
postcard is new and in very
good condition.

Isleta Indian Pueblo, New Mexico
- Text on
back: Isleta Indian Pueblo. One of eighteen pueblos in
New Mexico, which is still inhabited, Islete is just south of
Albuquerque along the Rio Grande. Vintage scalloped edge
postcard is unused and in good condition.

Drilling Rig, New Mexico - Text on back: Oil-"Black Gold" Oil Drilling
Rig "Titan of the Southwest" The greater part of stored mineral wealth in the
Southwest is the Petroleum Industry. There are many large producing areas in
Texas and New Mexico containing more than 100 known reservoirs of oil. Panhandle
gas field, underlying this area is the largest known natural gas reservoir in
the world. Gas is piped to the East and West Coasts and even to Mexico. Crude
Oil - Refineries - Carbon Black Plants - Pumping Stations - Large Pipelines -
Transporting - Office Buildings - are all products of this giant industry.
Vintage postcard has writing on the back; postmarked 1972; six cent stamp is
intact; good condition.

Rio
Grande Gorge, New Mexico - Text on back: Rio Grande Gorge between
Espanola and Taos, New Mexico. Some of the most scenic beauty in the state is
created by the flow of the Rio Grande as it makes its way from Colorado to the
Mexican border. Postcard has writing on the back; postmarked 1994; nineteen
stamp intact; good condition.
