display of ritual objects at Etowah Mounds Archaeological Area near U.S. 41,
Cartersville, Georgia. This important Indian site was a village and ceremonial
center from about 800 A.D. to 1550 A.D. The mound area, with museum displaying
artifacts, is open to visitors. The site is operated by the Georgia Historical
