of Mark Twain
- Text on back: Samuel Clemens spent his boyhood years
in Hannibal, M. before growing up to become Mark Twain, one of
America’s best loved writers of all time. The Twain home was built in
1844 and became the home of Tom Sawyer in his book, “The Adventures of
Tom Sawyer”. Vintage
postcard has scalloped edging, is unused and in very
good condition.
University of
Missouri - Text on back: South Women's dormitory Group. Jones
Hall, Dobbs Cafeteria, Lathrop Hall and Laws Hall. One of various
building projects which have been completed at the University of
Missouri.
Air View Bagnell Dam
- Text on back: This air view shows the great dam with
all spillways open. Bagnell Dam, built across the Osage River, created
beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, 130 miles long and the tremendous
shoreline of 1,372 miles. Vintage
postcard is unused, in good condition, showing some
edge wear.

Jesse
James Home
- Text on back: On Apr. 3, 1882, at
age 34, outlaw Jesse James was killed in this house. Gang member Bob
Ford shot Jesse to death for a $10,000 reward offered by Gov.
Crittenden. The James Home was originally
located at 1318 Lafayette. In 1939 it was moved to the Belt Hwy. as a
commercial tourist attraction. In 1977 the house was acquired by the
Pony Express Historical Assn. and moved to its present location beside
the Patee House

postcard has writing on the back, is
postmarked from Kansas City,
Missouri and has
intact one cent stamp. Postmark has bleed thru, leaving a
mark on front left corner. Some edge wear and crease thru
middle.
Duckhead
Point - Text on back: Famous Duckhead Point near Bagnell
Dam, Lake of the Ozarks,
Missouri. This one of nature's
strange works of art. When the lake was filled, the water
line left this exquisite shape. This total area is a real
spot for the vacationer. vintage postcard is used, in good
condition, postmarked from Lake Ozark, 1965, with intact 4
cent stamp. Show some edge wear.

Frank James Farm - Text on back: Last picture of
Frank James. Taken on his farm near Kearney (Clay
County)
Missouri.
Frank James, the older brother of
Jesse Woodson James, voluntarily
surrendered to Governor Thomas Crittenden in October, 1882. After a
trial, he was set free and lived a quiet life until his death in 1915.
