Halltown, MissouriHello from Halltown - Text on front: Halltown, Missouri rests on the western edge of the Ozark Plateau. In this scene, facing west, 66 drops down one of several hills as it enters the Great Plains. George Hall lent his name to Halltown, which was known as the "antique capital of the world" when 66 was in its heyday. Thelma White, owner of Whitehall Mercantile (right foreground), invites you to stop by and step back in time "Where Yesterday Meets Today." Postcard is new and in mint condition.

Pony Express Statue, St Joseph - Text on back: Pony Express Memorial Statue graces St. Joseph's Civic Center, Frederick Ave. at 9th. Unveiled Apr. 20, 1940, the bronze sculpture is life size and weighs 7,200 Ibs. From Apr. 3, 1860 until Oct. 1861 the Pony Express carried mail between St. Joseph and Sacramento, California. Courageous riders traveled the 2,000 miles in 10 days. Postcard is unused and in good condition.

Old Matt's Cabin, Branson - Text on back: Old Matt's Cabin - Shepherd of the Hills Country - Near Branson, Missouri. Just 6 miles west of Branson on the scenic Shepherd of the Hills drive is Old Matt's Cabin visited by many of the thousands of tourists that enjoy the beautiful Ozarks. Harold Bell Wright's famous story "Shepherd of the Hills" was written in a tent on Inspiration Point near the location of Old Matt's Cabin. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition.

Eads Bridge, St Louis - Text on back: Eads Bridge - St. Louis - The First Roadway to the West. A National Historic landmark. First railroad and vehicular link connecting the East with the West. Designed and built by Capt. James Buchanan Eads. Dedicated July 4, 1874 after seven years work. World's first steel-truss bridge. First bridge built of rolled chrome steel and first with fixed end arches anchored in granite and stone piers. Center span 520'. Two adjoining spans each 502'. Piers on bedrock. East pier 107' below water level. Top deck for vehicular traffic. Lower deck has double R. R. tracks inside girders. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition.

Buchanan County Courthouse, St Joseph - Text on back: Buchanan County Courthouse St. Joseph, Missouri. Built in 1874, this large public building covers an entire city block. Located between north 4th, north 5th, Faraon and Jules Streets. St. Joseph was founded in 1826 by Joseph Roubidoux who started a fur trading post here on the Missouri River. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition with small stain on lower right corner.

Old Matt's Cabin, Branson - Text on back:  Constructed in 1884 by the Mathews family, has become a national attraction due to Harold Bell Wright's famous story "The Shepherd of the Hills." Visit the Shepherd of the Hills Farm located seven miles west of Branson, Missouri on Highway 76. Guided tours throughout the season. Postcard is used, postmarked from Branson, 1968, with intact 5 cent stamp, very good condition.
