Soldiers
and Sailors Monument, Indianapolis - Text on back: Soldiers’ and
Sailors’ Monument, Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed in 1901, it is the
third highest shaft in America. It memorializes four epochs in the
history of Indiana – the period of the Revolution, the war with Mexico,
the war of 1812, and the war for the Union. Many huge statues surround
its base and overlook its fountain pools. A museum occupies its
basement. An observation platform, reached by an elevator, is near its
284 ˝ foot peak. Located in Monument Circle, in the heart of down town
area, it was built and is maintained by the State of Indiana. Vintage
postcard is unused and in good condition.
Veterans Administration Hospital, Topeka
- Text on back: T-16-Veterans Administration Hospital, Topeka,
Kansas. Postcard has writing on back; postmarked Herington, Kansas,
April 11, 1962; three cent stamp is intact. Vintage postcard is in good
condition.
21st Lancers Scouting, The Eyes and Ears of the Army -
Text on back: This shows the 21st Lancers Scouting. Before a regiment
or brigade marches far into an enemy’s country it sends the Scouts well
ahead to thoroughly examine the ground, to find out the best roads or
places for moving bodies of men across, and to ascertain what enemy, if
any, are about or in sight. The Scout is well named "the eyes and ears of
the Army." These men are in Service dress exactly as they would appear on
active duty. Vintage postcard has writing on the back, is postmarked 1920,
missing stamp. Card is in good condition.

FW-333 McDonnell Douglas/British Aerospace T-45A Goshawk, US
Navy Primary Jet Trainer is flown by SITS (Strike Instructor
Training School) pilots of TW-2/VT-21 at NAS Kingsville,
Texas. Postcard is unused and in excellent condition.
Life
at Camp Dix - Text on back: Clerks, bookkeepers,
packers and moving-van men have all dropped their
occupations to march in the common cause. Drafted men
drilling without uniforms. Vintage postcard is unused but
writing on back indicates "1920," good condition for age.
