Greetings From Kentucky - Text on back: Kentucky. The Blue Grass State, famous for its thoroughbred horses and horse farms. Also shown are the colorful state capitol grounds at Frankfort; the state bird, the Cardinal and the state flower, the Goldenrod. Postcard is new and in mint condition.

Wolf Creek Dam near Burnside - Text on Back: Wolf Creek Dam near Burnside, Kentucky. This dam impounds 105 mile long Lake Cumberland. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition with some edge wear.

Boone Tavern Hotel, Berea, Kentucky - Text on back: Boone Tavern Hotel, Berea, Kentucky, On U.S. 25. One mile from Interstate 75. Owned by Berea College and operated (90%) by students, many of whom are hotel management majors. The hotel has the charm of an earlier era but is completely modern in its facilities and service. Its fine regional foods are nationally acclaimed by gourmets. Handcrafts of the Berea College Student Industries are available in its lobby gift shop. Air-Conditioned, Color TV, free parking, no tipping. Vintage postcard has writing on the back, is postmarked from Berea, Kentucky, intact nine cent stamp. Shows some edge/corner wear.

Kentucky - Bluegrass State - Text on back: Kentucky. The Bluegrass Sate. Bluegrass was brought to the area that is now Kentucky by English settlers around 1625. Each spring, new growth produces tiny bluish purple flowers that give the fields a soft blue-green cast. Continues with state facts. Postcard is new and in mint condition.

Greetings From Kentucky - Text on back: Kentucky. Discovered by La Salle in 1669, Kentucky was opened up for settlement in 1769 by Daniel Boone, the famous pioneer. Kentucky is one of the most scenic and historic states in the Union. Postcard is new and in mint condition.

State Capitol, Frankfort - Text on back: The Capitol Bldg. At Frankfort, Ky is among the finest in the country, the dome being a reproduction of Napoleon's Tomb. Stairways are fashioned after the Paris Opera. Vintage linen postcard has writing on back; postmarked in 1950's; one cent stamp is intact; good condition.

Fort Knox, Kentucky - Text on back: Fort Knox, kentucky. United States Bullion Depository. A large portion of the United States' gold reserve is stored in the vault of the Fort Knox Bullion Depository. The vault is made of steel and concrete, and the vault door alone weighs more than twenty tons. Completed in 1936, the Depository is constructed of granite lined with concrete.
