Kansas 66 - Kansas. The sunflower is the official state flower of Kansas. The height of a sunflower can range from 15 inches to 12 feet. Traditionally in a color of sunshine yellow, sunflowers can come in a variety of colors including red, white or bronze. Postcard is new and in mint condition.

Front Street - Text on back: Front Street. Dodge City, Kansas. "Cowboy Capital of the World" Located on World Famous Boot Hill where cowboys were buried with their boots on. Home of Long Branch Saloon. Vintage postcard is unused and in very good condition.

Wheat Lands Motel - Text on back: Free heated swimming pool with sun deck. Duncan Hines approved. Located on City route U.S. 50 highway, east edge of Garden City, Kansas. Individual refrigeration air conditioning. Telephones in every room. Tile Baths. Carpeted Floors. TV available. Thermostatically controlled heating in all rooms. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition, slight edge wear.

Flamingo Motel - Text on back: Flamingo Motel, Northeast Salina. Old U.S. 40 highway
Box 1124, Salina Kansas, Phone TA 5-5475. Heated Pool - hot water heat - phones - Refrigerated Air - TV - free coffee - 40 units. Ed & Elsie Rothfuss, Managers. Vintage postcard is unused in good condition with little edge wear.

 

The Alamo Saloon - Text on back: Greetings from Old Abilene, Kansas. Most famous of 20 saloons in Abilene during the cattle boom, 1867-72, was The Alamo. It was Wild Bill Hickok’s hangout. This replica stands on Texas Street in recreated Old Abilene Town. Vintage postcard is unused in good condition with little edge wear.

Kansas State Capitol - Text on back: This is one of the finest State Capitols in the U.S. height of dome to lantern balcony, 258 feet; height of dome at extreme top, 304 feet; lengh from north to south, including porches, 399 feet; east to west, 386 feet; square of the dome at base, 80 feet x 80 feet. 296 steps lead from upper floor of the building proper to the dome, affording a splendid view of Topeka. Vintage linen postcard is in good condition, has writing on back, postmarked 1947 with intact 1¢ stamp, slight edge wear.
