1890. Celebrates is 150th Anniversary April 1959. Vintage postcard

River, Hanover College - Text on back: The beautiful Ohio River
winding its way to the southwest below the lookout at Hanover College is
Indiana. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition with scalloped
edging.
Indiana
State Capitol Building, Indianapolis - Text on back: Indiana State Capital Building, Indianapolis,
Indiana. The statue of Oliver P. Morton, Civil War Governor of
Indiana from 1861-1867, stands at the Market Street entrance which
is adorned by a sculptured pediment supported by Corinthian
columns. This Neo-Roman structure was designed by architect Edwin
May and was built 1878-88. It houses the governor’s offices, the
two houses of the legislature and the Supreme Court. The
building’s most distinguished feature is the gold dome, which is
72’ in diameter and rises from the center to a height of 234 feet
above ground. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition
with scalloped edging.
Indiana
Amish - Text on back: Wheat harvest in the Amish country usually
starts in early July. Grain is cut and bound in sheaves which are stacked
to dry. The Amish are a hardworking people who do not use the modern
methods of farming. Postcard is new and in mint condition
Wilkins Mill Bridge, Indiana - Text on back: Wilkins
Mill Bridge - Parke County, Indiana is famous for its outstanding array of
covered bridges. These much-admired structures serve as constant
reminders of the integrity and industrious nature of our pioneer
forebears. Scalloped postcard is unused and in excellent condition.

Capitol - constructed of Indiana limestone, in Classic Corinthian design,
the indiana State House was completed in 1888. The dome, rising 234 feet
above the grand corridor, is a most distinguishing feature of this
magnificent building. Postcard is new and in mint condition.

student activities, houses a cafeteria, lounges, recreational facilities,

City, Indiana. A full scale museum model of a typical frontier hearth,
built with stones excavated from the site of the Lincoln Family’s Indiana
Home, where Abraham Lincoln worked, played, studied, and grew to manhood.
Vintage postcard has writing on the back, is postmarked 1969 and complete
with intact 6-cent stamp. Card is in good condition.
