Striking View of Clark Memorial, Lincoln Bridge and Plaza, Vincennes - This Beautiful Bridge Marks Spot where Abe Lincoln Family crossed historic Wabash River 1830. Text on back: This extraordinary view features the George Rogers Clark Memorial which commemorates the capture of Vincennes, (Ind.) and the Northwest from the British during the darkest days of the American Revolution. Capture occurred February 25, 1779. The Lincoln Bridge shown is one of the most beautiful in the United States. It crosses the famed Wabash River.

Purdue University, Lafayette - Text on back: Purdue University. Lafayette, Indiana 47907. Graduate House West, housing for 920 single graduate men and women. Vintage postcard has writing on the back, is postmarked 1970 and is complete with intact 5 cent stamp. Postcard is in good condition with very little edge/corner wear.

Shrewsbury House, Madison - Text on back: Shrewsbury House, Madison, Indiana. Garden and River Entrance (facing the beautiful Ohio). Built by eminent architect, Francis Costigan, 1846-49. Shrewsbury House is a famous example of Greek Revival architecture with incredibly high ceilings, intricate cornices, Greek columns in temple like rooms. Restored and open to the public as museum and antique shop. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition.

Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Indianapolis - Text on back: Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument, Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed in 1901, it is the third highest shaft in America. It memorializes four epochs in the history of Indiana – the period of the Revolution, the war with Mexico, the war of 1812, and the war for the Union. Many huge statues surround its base and overlook its fountain pools. A museum occupies its basement. An observation platform, reached by an elevator, is near its 284 ˝ foot peak. Located in Monument Circle, in the heart of down town area, it was built and is maintained by the State of Indiana. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition.

Michigan City, Indiana Lighthouse - Text on back: This lighthouse was established in 1904 replacing the old light located on the mainland. Michigan City, Indiana is a favorite port for fisherman and pleasure boaters on Lake Michigan. Postcard is new, unused and in excellent condition.
