Jumping Cholla Cactus - Text on back: Jumping Cholla (Cho'
Ya') Opuntia Bigelovii. Most dangerous of the desert cactus because of
its loosely connected joints that drop to the flesh or clothing at the
slightest disturbance. The barbed, needlelike spines bore deep and
removal from flesh is very painful. Yet this is the most beautiful
large cactus on the desert because of its shining silvery spines that
look like tiny icicles in the sunlight. Flowers: Aril and May. This
postcard is unused and in good condition.
