Fountain of Youth Park, St Augustine - Text
on back: This patio joins the Famous Spring House where one may
enjoy the beautiful grounds. The walls and arches are built of
Native Coquina which is mined across the river. Vintage postcard
has writing on the back, is postmarked 1975 and complete with
intact 8-cent stamp. Card is in good condition.

Bayfront Park, Miami
- Text on back: Bayfront
Park, famed as a showplace of tropical landscaping, is on the
shore of Bay Biscayne, along the southern terminus of Biscayne
Boulevard. From conveniently placed benches under palm trees, one
may gaze across Biscayne Bay, while enjoying daily free band
concerts. Vintage postcard has writing on the back, is postmarked
1931 and complete with intact 1-cent stamp. Card is in good
condition, postmark has bled thru.

Fountain
of Youth, St. Augustine - Text on back: The Fountain of Youth is a
great curiosity of St. Augustine. It has one peculiarity distinguishing it
from other wells in that the water rises and falls without any apparent
reason or cause.
Spring and Cross, Fountain of Youth, St Augustine - Text on back: "The Fountain of Youth” at St.
Augustine, Florida is the mecca of visitors from all parts of the world.
According to tradition this bubbling fountain supposedly marks the exact
spot where Ponce de Leon, the Spanish explorer, in search of this fabled
"Fountain of Youth” first landed in the New World, April 2, 1513 and
planted the cross (shown in the picture) taking possession in the name of
Spain. This cross is inlaid on the ground consisting of 15 stones running
east to west and 13 stones north to south, commemorating the Discovery
Year 1513. Vintage linen postcard has writing on the back, is postmarked
1938 and complete with intact 1-cent stamp. Card is in good condition.

Oldest School House, Classroom, St Augustine - Text
on back: On quaint old George Street, just inside the City Gates, stands
the Oldest School House, under three flags. A Spanish map of 1788 shows
this house of wood "in fair condition”. A replica of this Oldest School
House was used in comparison with the most modern school building, at A
Century of Progress Exposition. This old red cedar school house is open to
visitors daily. Vintage linen postcard is in good condition with slight
edge/corner wear.

Oldest House, St Augustine - Text on back: "The Old
Timer” – St Augustine, Florida. 14 St. Francis Street is without a doubt
the oldest house in America. Erected by the monks of St. Francis who came
with Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles, this house was used as a chapel until
1590. It is now private property, open to the public as a historical
museum. Vintage linen postcard is in good condition with slight edge wear
on middle right side.

The Chesapeake, Margate - Text on back: The
Chesapeake – Known for gourmet dinning amidst and earthy, au natural
architecture and a picturesque view of the lush open-air landscaping. 100
N. State Rd 7, Margate, Florida 33063. Postcard has writing on the back,
is postmarked 2000 and complete with intact 20-cent stamp. Card is in good
condition.
Trinity
Episcopal Church, St Augustine - Text on back: Trinity Episcopal Church,
an unostentatious bit of English Gothic ecclesiastical architecture stands at
the corner of St. George and King Streets. The cornerstone was laid in June 1825
with portions of the original structure still standing. It is the oldest
Episcopal Church erected in Florida. Vintage
linen postcard is unused and in good condition.
Castillo
de San Marcos National Monument, St Augustine - Text on back: Spanish
Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest complete masonry fortification remaining in
continental U.S. Construction was started in 1672. Its 16-foot-thick walls are
built of coquina, a natural shell rock quarried on nearby Anastasia Island. The
Castillo withstood major English attacks in 1702 and 1740, and in its later
years as a prison held many men famous in U.S. history. Vintage linen postcard
is unused and in good condition.
