Amboy California PostcardAmboy, California Graphic - Custom original only available at the Rocky Mountain General Store. Text on back: A long standing Route 66 icon, Roy's Café, gas station and motel are frozen in time in Amboy, California. Sitting along a deserted stretch of old Route 66, the facilities have been closed for several years, but there are plans in the works to restore this retro relic to its former glory. Postcard is brand new and in mint condition.

Deadwood PostcardDeadman's Hand - Deadwood, South Dakota - It was over 120 years ago when prospectors struck gold in Deadwood Gulch, Dakota Territory and that is how the town of Deadwood was born. All of downtown is a National Historic Landmark. When you walk down Main Street, you can feel the presence of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane walking along beside you. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

Greetings From Route 66 - Text on back: Established in 1926, Route 66 connected many of the small towns of the American West, spanning 2,500 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles. In 1984, the vintage "Mother Road" was decommissioned and bypassed by interstates. Today, Route 66 sees a rebirth as a new generation searches for "signs" of simpler times. Postcard is brand new and in mint condition.

Chicago Route 66 PostcardChicago, Illinois Route 66 - Custom original only available at the Rocky Mountain General Store. Text on back: When Route 66 began in 1926, its staring point was on Jackson Boulevard at Michigan Avenue. In 1933, the starting point was moved east to Jackson and Lake Shore Drive. In 1955, it was moved again to Michigan Avenue when Jackson Boulevard became one way. Adams Street became the new westbound Route 66. Today, Chicago currently marks the official beginning of Route 66 as Adams Street and Michigan Avenue. Postcard is brand new and in mint condition.

Greetings From the Old WestGreetings From the Old West - Text on back: After the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, more and more settlers moved westward for new beginnings, land, and hopes of prosperity. During the many gold and silver rushes, yet more people pushed westward into what was often, never seen, unexplored and sometimes violent territory. Over the next century, the "West" was tamed, but even today, there is a "frontier mentality" in many places that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Postcard is brand new and in mint condition.

Ocotillo Cactus - Text on back: Throughout the fabulous Southwest the desert land burst into a riot of color in its own ruggedly beautiful way. Here the graceful “Ocotillo” Cactus dominates this springtime desert scene. Vintage postcard has writing on back, is postmarked 1963 from Temple, Arizona, with two four cent stamps. Shows very little wear, in good condition.

Colorado Gold Rush PostcardColorado Gold - Custom original only available at the Rocky Mountain General Store. Text on back: Beginning in 1859, the Colorado Gold Rush lasted throughout the early 1860s and is considered to be the largest gold rush in American History. For decades, prospectors flooded the rocky Mountains, creating numerous early towns which ultimately led to the creation of Colorado Territory in 1861 and the State in 1876. Today, many of these old settlements have disappeared or become ghost towns, while others continue to thrive. The photos depicted on front include Cripple Creek Mines and Aspen Silver mines first published at the turn of the century. Postcard is brand new and in mint condition.
