Shell Beach, Highway 101

Shell Beach is an attractive seaside center located on highway 101 between
Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo. The green hills slope down to the cliffs
that form the coast of Morro Bay to below Pismo Beach. The cost is full of
rocks that jet up out of the sea. Vintage postcard is unused and in good
condition with slight edge/corner wear.
Alameda County Court House, Oakland -
Text on back: Mirroring the County Court House, beautiful Lake Merritt
lies within a few blocks of the central business district. This is the
only tidal lake in the heart of any American City. Vintage linen postcard
has writing on the back, is postmarked 1945 and complete with an intact 1

Palomar
Observatory, San Diego - Text on back: On Palomar Mountain, 69 miles
north of San Diego, is the largest astronomical observatory in the world.
Engineers at the California Institute of Technology spent many years alone
in the grinding and polishing of the great 200 inch mirror lens, the
largest reflector known to man. When completed this observatory will
consist of seven buildings, costing $6,000,000.00. Vintage postcard is

In this replica of the wee Kirk of Glencairn Scotland, may be seen
authentic documents and mementos of bonnie Annie Laurie’s life. Many
modern brides chose this famous “Wee Kirk o’ the Heather” for their
weddings. The Tower of Legends (87 feet) is the highest landmark north of
Los Angeles; the sculpture depicts the allegorical Cycle of Life of the

Alum Rock Park, San Jose - Text
on back: Alum Rock Park is San Jose’s 716 acre municipal playground and
was so named because of the huge rock in the lower part of the canyon that
contains a large percentage of alum. The major portion of the park was
originally a part of the public lands to which San Jose became entitled by
virtue of its pueblo origin under the Spanish regime. There are 22 active
mineral springs in the park, a large natatorium, a plunge, many picnic
tables, and numerous hiking paths. Vintage linen
