British Columbia, the Alaska Highway, originally built during wartime in a hurculean effort, extends 1523 miles north and west to Fairbanks, Alaska.

Mt. Augustine, Alaska

Eruption of March, 1986 showing sulfurous ash as it cllimbs
thousands of feet into the air and the pyroclastic as it
travels down the slopes of this active Alaska volcano. The
other major eruptions of Mt. Augustine were in 1812, 1883,
1935, and 1963-64. Postcard is unused and in very good
condition.
