Jesse James postcardJesse James - Born September 5, 1847 in Kearney, Clay County, Missouri. The notorious outlaw and bandit was killed at St. Joseph, Missouri by Bob Ford, "the dirty little coward" who shot Jesse in the back. Many people around the United States look upon Jesse James with an image of Robin Hood. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

Dodce City Peace Commission PostcardLawmen and Gunfighters: Text on Back: Dodge City, also known as the "Queen of the Cowtowns," or "Babylon of the Frontier" left the West with the notorious legacy of Boot Hill. The city was also known for its famous gunfighters who held positions as lawmen of the Dodge City Peace Commission. Pictured here in this famous photograph are (top row): W.H. Harris, Luke Short, Bat Masterson (sitting), Charlie Bassett, Wyatt Earp, L. McLean, Neal Brown. Oversize postcard, 6 3/8"x4 3/8, is new, unused and in mint condition.

Billy the Kid PostcardBilly The Kid - Text on back: Billy the Kid, 1859-1881. Born William H. Bonney in New York City November 11, 1859. Shot and killed 21 men by the time of his 21st birthday, including an unknown gunfighter in Coffeyville, Kansas when he was 14. He was shot and killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett July 14, 1881 on the Maxwell Ranch near Fort Sumner, New Mexico . A little more than 4 months before his 22nd birthday. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

Wyatt Earp PostcardWyatt Earp - Born March 19, 1848 in Monmouth, Illinois - Died in Los Angeles January 13, 1929. Today no western peace officer is more celebrated than Wyatt Earp, the man who gained fame in Dodge City, Kansas and Tombstone , Arizona. Wyatt was best known for his part in the shoot-out at the O.K. Corral, in Tombstone , Arizona, where he, his brothers Virgil and Morgan, and Doc Holliday, fought it out with the Clanton Gang. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

A Cowboy Prayer:  Text on Back: "A Cowboy's Prayer" was written by Charles Badger Clark (1883-1957), one of South Dakota's most beloved citizens, who was named state poet laureate in 1939. "Badger" built and lived in a cabin called "The Badger Hole" in Custer State Park. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

Wyatt Earp's Home, Earp, California:  Text on back: This little gold mining town on the Colorado River was renamed for Wyatt Earp, the world famous gunslinging lawman who lived in this house in about 1919 & 1920. Earp was marshal of Wichita & Dodge City, Kansas and Tombstone, Arizona, and, even though he took part in many shoot-outs, he lived to 81.

Jesse James House Set of Two:  Two Jesse James home postcards. First is Jesse James home today, the second is his home in 1882. It was here that he was killed by gang member Bob Ford on April 3, 1882. Both are new and unused.

The famous entertainment spot for gunmen, rustlers, and desperados of early day Tombstone. Vintage postcard, with scalloped edges is unused and in excellent condition.

Wild Bill Hickok PostcardWild Bill Hickok - James Butler Hickok. Born March 27, 1837 at Troy Grove, Illinois. Died August 2, 1876, at Deadwood's Number Ten Saloon while playing poker. He was shot in the back of the head by a gambler named Jack McCall. Wild Bill became of the most famous gunfighters in the country. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

The First Ride of the Pony Express - Text on Back:  The First Ride of the Pony Express By Charles Hargens. On April 3, 1860, the first rider left from the Pikes Peak Stables, now the Pony Express Museum, and began the 1,966 mile relay to California. Collection of St. Joseph Museum. This postcard is extra large at 5x7 inches, large enough for framing. New and unused.

Pony Express Station, Marysville, Kansas -  Text on Back:  Pony Express Station No. 1, Marysville, Kansas. Built in 1859-60, Pony Express Station No. 1 is the only station remaining on its original location on the Pony Express trail from St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California. After riding 12 hours from St. Joseph and changing horses at 13 relay stations, this station was "home," as another rider continued westward. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

Pony Express  -  Text on back:  From 1860-1862, before telegraph service linked the country, Pony Express riders carried mail in relays from St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California. In Kansas, the route passed through Elwood, Troy, Seneca, Marysville and Hanover. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.

They are used for work on the large ranches; for entertainment by many common folks; and are used at rodeos around the state including Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and nightly rodeos at Cody, Wyoming.
