From Oklahoma - Oklahoma's
name is derived from two Choctaw words: "Okla" meaning people and "humma"
meaning red, literally meaning red people. There are currently thirty-five
tribes of
Indians
living in Oklahoma. Oklahoma
has the second largest
Indian
population of any state in the Union. Descendants of the original sixty-seven
tribes inhabiting Indian Territory still live in
Oklahoma. Postcard is new, unused, and in mint condition.
The Ghost Dance - Koshare Indian Dancers -

Indian Dancers, LaJunta,
Colorado. World famous boy scout interpretive dancers dancing the
Ghost Dance of Messiah, originally banned by white man and eventually lost
to the tribes. The Ghost Dance is one of the major dances of some 50
performed by the Koshare. Vintage
postcard is unused and in excellent
condition.
Cheyenne Boy
- A Cheyenne Warrior of the Future. This young
Cheyenne boy is
dressed int he finest rappings of an adult warrior. Even his posture is
proud and still. He is wearing a war bonnet of eagle feathers with fine
beadwork lining the outer edge. His neckpiece was made of hairpipes, trade

One of the Koshare Head Chiefs dancing one of the famous Eagle Dances on
the Kosharies famous thunder drum. It is the story of an eagle being
caught in a trap. The Kosharies are world famous boy scout interpretative
Indian dancers. Vintage
