Arrow Rock Dam PostcardArrow Rock Dam - Text on back: Arrowrock Dam, Idaho. Twenty miles from Boise, on the Union Pacific System, built by U.S. Government at cost of approximately $5,000,000. Height 348.5 feet, 90 feet of which is below bed of river, anchored in solid granite. Base 240 feet thick, top 1,100 feet long and 15 feet thick. Driveway around the top. Material in dam weighs 1,000,000 tons. Maximum depth of water back of dam 260 feet. Backwater forms lake 18 miles long. Designed to irrigate 240,000 acres of land.  Vintage postcard is in pretty good condition for its age.

This scenic wonder is reached by oil road 7 miles (11km) from the City of Twin Falls, Idaho. Vintage postcard is in very good condition.

Bonner's Ferry PostcardBonners Ferry, Idaho - Text on back: Edwin L. Bonner Built A Ferry at this point in 1864 to transport gold rush customers across the Kootenai River to British Columbia. This ferry operated until after the turn of the century when a bridge was built. Today, Bonners Ferry, pop. 1909, is the Country Seat of Boundary County and a favorite stop for travelers to and from Canada 35 miles north on Hwy. 95 or from Montana on Hwy. 2. Lumbering and fertile Kootenia River Valley farmland support the economy. Vintage postcard has writing on back, is in good condition, postmarked 1947 from Greenacres, Washington.
