picture" postcard is unused and in good condition, small red smear on

Lochsa River - Text on back: Rugged Lochsa River
Country showing Wendover Ridge (highest dark ridge at left) and the
rugged terrain for the Lewis and Clark expedition, who reported
September 15th, 1805 "Here the road leaves the river to the left and
ascends a mountain winding in every direction to get up the Steep
Assents-Several Horses Slipped and rolled down Steep Hills-when we
arrived at the top-we concluded to camp and make use of the Snow we
found on the top to cook the remains of our colt and make our supper."

Whiskey Rock, Lake Pend - Text on back: Whiskey Rock
on Lake Pend Oreille, among the Bitterroot Mountain. The large slab of
granite called "Whiskey Rock" at left of distant boat is now submerged
since Albany Falls dam raised the lake level. This is a favorite area
for blue back fishing. Elk, deer, bear, and cougar roam to the lake
shore. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition.
Lower Canon Lake - Text on back: Lower Cannon Lake
among the Seven Devils Peaks, high above deep Snake River Canyon on the
Idaho-Oregon border. This "locked water" is typical of many Alpine Lakes
in this U.S. Forest Service Scenic Area. The region is about 20 miles
off U.S. 95 out of Riggins,
Idaho. Vintage postcard is unused and in

postcard has writing on back, postmarked 1950 from Jerome,
Idaho,
fairly good condition with intact 1 cent stamp.
Kamiah, Idaho - Text on back: Kamiah, Idaho population 1,245
is an up and coming lumber town on the Clearwater River, 55 miles
upstream from Lewiston, on the route of the Lewis and Clark Highway.
This famous expedition spent several weeks at the site of Kamiah in the
spring of 1806 waiting for the snows to melt on the Lolo Trail. Vintage
postcard is unused and in good condition.
