Death Valley - Artist’s Palette - Text on back: Death Valley National Park. Along Artist’s Drive in Death Valley National Park is Artist’s Palette. Here, oxidation has produced a rainbow of colors in the eroded clay deposits of ancient lake bed sediments. Iron oxides produce violet, yellow, red, brown, and black. Green is usually caused by copper or the breakdown of mica. Postcard is new, unused and in mint condition.
