Angeles January 13, 1929. Today no
western peace officer is more celebrated than
Wyatt
Earp, the man who gained fame in
Dodge

Kansas
and
Tombstone,
Arizona.
Wyatt
was best known for his part in the shoot-out at the
O.K. Corral, in
Tombstone,
Arizona,
where he, his brothers
Virgil and
Morgan, and
Doc
Holliday, fought it out with the
Clanton Gang.

Morgan Earp,

Holliday fought the
Clantons and the
McLaurys behind the
O.K. Corral. The next day,
Tombstone
photographer Camillus S. Fly photographed the dead: cowboys
Tom and
Frank McLaury and
Billy Clanton.
The
gunfight is reenacted daily at the
O.K. Corral.

who thought foremost of their quick riches. Today, occupying an ancient
building which was one of the town's biggest dance halls, the
Epitaph
still grinds out its printed message on a cranky old Campbell press.

Die." Three men were killed and several injured in the fight that took
place between the lawmen and the outlaws during the waning of
Tombstone's
heydays, with Marshal
Wyatt
Earp, his brother and
Dock [sic]
Holliday on one side and the
Clanton Clan on the other.
Tombstone is
located on U.S. Highway 80, 23 miles south of Benson,
Arizona and is
visited by thousands yearly. Postcard
