Arizona Historic 66 postcardArizona Get Your Kicks - Historic Route 66. Officially numbered on November 11th, 1926, Route 66 stretched 376 miles across northern Arizona. Although sections of the old highway are still traveled for their historical value and nostalgia. Route 66 was eventually bypassed by I-40 in the late 1970's.
