- Text on back: The 66 Motel, also
known as the El Reposo court, was located at 3660 Southwest Boulevard in Tulsa.
It was built around 1933 and was listed on the National Register of Historic
Places. The motel was destroyed June 26, 2001 to make room for mini-storage
units. The fate of the sign is unknown as of the time of publication. Being on
the Register does not guarantee preservation. Postcard is new and in mint
condition.

Motel
Villa Inn, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Text on back: Once, the Lincoln
Blvd. corridor in
Oklahoma City
was filled with motels. Over time, they were abandoned or often put to less
savory uses. In an effort to stop crime and beautify the approach to the
Capitol, the older motels along with various other buildings were slated for
demolition. The Villa Inn Motel was among the last to go. The sign disappeared
first; the building several years later. Postcard is new and in mint condition.

Dosie Creek Bridge near Davenport, Oklahoma

This old bridge over Dosie Creek, dating back to 1917 and the days of the Ozark
Trail, was located east of Davenport/west of Stroud on the earliest alignment of
66. Although a contributing feature to the Ozark Trails Section in Lincoln
County which is on the National Register of Historic Places, it was destroyed
when a new bridge was put in. Being on the Register does not guarantee
preservation. Postcard is new and in mint condition.
