66+
Years Old ... And Still Kicking! - If
Route 66
were a belt, the
Amarillo
area would be the buckle. The center of the stretch from
Chicago to
L.A.,
also known as "Mother
Road" is still a great place to "Get your Kicks!"
 Will Rogers
Memorial, Claremore, Oklahoma - Set of 2 - Set of two vintage postcards of
Will Rogers Memorial grounds and family tomb in Claremore,
Oklahoma. Both
postcards are unused and in very good condition.
Arizona
Route 66 Shield - Text on back: Arizona Route 66. Postcard is new

this popular tourist stop is built from old railroad cars. The theme runs
true throughout McDonald's,

Cherokee Indian at Glass House, Vinita, Oklahoma
- Text on
back: Martin Teehee,
Cherokee
Indian of
Miami,

the famous "over the road" Glass House Restaurant on the Will Rogers Turnpike,
Vinita,
Oklahoma. The
Cherokee settled in the Eastern part of Oklahoma, having
come from Virginia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Vintage
postcard is unused and in very good condition.
Cool
Springs, Arizona - Text
on Back: Before
Route 66 was realigned in 1953, Cool Springs, located on the eat side

Welcome to Oklahoma - Text on back: Thousands of tourists
greet this

Get
Your Kicks on Historic 66 - Text on back: Designated in 1926 as the
Chicago to Los Angles route for the national highway system, Route 66
spans 8 states and nearly 2400 miles. Intended to connect the main streets
of rural and urban communities, it is often called "The Main Street of
America." Although appearing on very few current maps, nearly 85% of the
original road can still be traveled by car today.
UFO Parking near Stroud, Oklahoma
- Text on back: This
humorous sign was grouped with several other whimsical metal sculptures. Located
on private property fronting 66 east of Stroud near the Creek-Lincoln County
line, the sign disappeared in late 2000 or early 2001 after the owner of the
property died. At the time of publication, other objects, including a train and
a cow and her calf, were still there but in poor condition. Postcard is new and
in mint condition.
Kingman, Arizona Route 66 - Text on back:
Kingman,
