Cozy Dog postcardCozy Drive In - Print of hand-drawn card from artist Bob Waldmire. Route 66 was certified in 1926 when the nation adopted a numbered system of cross-country, inter-state roads. Fully paved by 1936, Route 66 became an important and legendary highway, "immortalized" in literature, music and on television. Gradually "replaced" by huge homogeneous interstates, 66 was decertified in 1985, ceasing to exist "officially." But well over 80% of the old road is still drivable -- so, travel back in time, and leave the stress behind -- on the interstates... and then, you too will say: "I still get my kicks on old Route 66!" Postcard is new, unused and in excellent condition.

Will Rogers Memorial postcardWill Rogers Memorial - Claremore, Oklahoma. Will Rogers is interred on the grounds of the will Rogers Memorial. Will purchased this 20-acre hilltop in Claremore in 1911 with plans to build a home when he tired of show business. His premature death on August 15, 1935 halted his plans. Entombed with will Rogers is his wife, Betty Blake Rogers and their infant son, Freddie. The Will Rogers Memorial is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vintage postcard is unused and in very good condition.
