Discoveries America Montana DVD
Montana is a vast piece of
Western real estate draped across the continental divide. An outdoor
paradise of wildlife, recreational opportunities and more miles of wild
trout streams here than anywhere in the Lower 48. Glacier National Park
includes a spectacular journey along the Going to the Sun Highway,
wildlife encounters and a night at the historic Many Glacier Hotel where
singer/storyteller David Walburn performs. In Missoula, Kelly Greenwood
and his son Ian demonstrate their skills and techniques as they create
original neon art. Nearby, Brennan’s Wave is a “play” water structure in
downtown Missoula. In Deer Lodge, draft horses are the “biggest” draw,
with a competition that includes six-horse hitches and plenty of insight
into the motivations of the horse’s riders, drivers and owners. Butte was
known as the richest city in the west with a legacy of mining, history,
and architecture. Experience Our Lady Of The Rockies, as seen through the
eyes of it’s sculptor, LeRoy Lee. Simms Fishing Products in Bozeman...a
look at the only “Made in the USA” fishing wader. All the employees enjoy
fishing and they’re extremely proud of their “Made in USA/Made in Bozeman,
Montana” label. KOA (Kampgrounds of America) CEO James Rogers tells the
story of the company’s origins in Billings, along with an interesting
footnote about the company logo. In the eastern rangelands scientists at
the Fort Keogh Agriculture Research Lab work on finding better ways to
increase range productivity. Near Fort Peck, the largest T-Rex found in
America was found resulting in a museum/laboratory that makes replicas of
the giant skeleton for display in museums around the world. A visit to
Montana would not be complete without the Cowboy Poetry & Music Rendezvous
in Dillon.
