Missouri,
Anheuser-Busch has been doing business since 1852. Much like today,
the company has always depended upon its advertising efforts to stay
within the minds of consumers and generate profits. During the years of
Prohibition, the company diversified, building truck bodies and
refrigerated cabinets; manufacturing barley malt syrup and ice cream; and
entered the baker’s yeast business. When Prohibition was repealed they
gladly returned to their core business. Today, Anheuser-Busch is the third
largest brewing company in the world and brews over 65 different beers and
malt liquors.
