Deadwood's beautiful City Hall, built in 1899, burned down in 1952.

Deadwood's City Hall, just one year after it was built.

This image is available for photographic prints HERE.

Once located at 695-703 Main street was Deadwood's second city hall and Deadwood Theater. The grand city hall was built in 1889, housing a fire department and commercial space on the first floor, a jail in the basement, and city offices upstairs.

Next to the City Hall was the Deadwood Theater which was built in 1905. Unfortunately, both buildings were destroyed by fire in 1952. Today, the site is home to the Silverado Casino, part of the Franklin Casino Complex.
