Motels Casualties in Needles, California
The Sage Motel is just one of many Route 66 casualties, Kathy Weiser, April, 2008. The Le Brun Motel is another, Kathy Weiser, April, 2008. Like other places all along Route 66, when the old highway was replaced by its various interstates, in this case, I-40, numerous businesses went under. In Needles, several didn't make it including the old Sage Motel and the Le Brun Motel. Their buildings and signs still stand; however.
