Directions:

Interesting Stops and Photo Opportunities:

From Waynesville, continue southwest on MO-17, crossing I-44 at Buckhorn (exit 153) into Hanna. Pleasant Grove Cabins in Buckhorn.

In Hanna, turn right (west) onto MO-P to Laquey.

A later alignment continues on MO-17, bypassing Laquey and turning west onto MO-AB.

In Laquey, turn left (southwest) onto MO-AA.

 

Beyond Laquey continue on MO-AA, then turn right (west) at the T-intersection onto MO-AB/Seminole Lane.

Gascozrk Trading Post at 10570 Highway AB.

Gascozark Sunray D-X Station and Café (1931) at 10575 Highway AB.

Vine covered Phillips 66 station on Highway AB.

Continue on MO-AB as it curves northwest back towards I-44.

Gasconade River Bridge (1922) on Highway AB.

At the intersection with MO-133, the road becomes Route 66/Heartwood Rd. and the south service road.

 

Continue to Hazelgreen where the road name changes to MO-N and Glacierpoint Road.  

 

Beyond Hazelgreen, continue on MO-N until the road name changes to Pennington Drive and intersects with MO-F. Turn right (north) on MO-F, crossing I-44 at exit 135, then turn left (west) onto Historic Route 66/Pecos Dr, which is also the north service road, into Lebanon.

 

Entering Lebanon, Historic Route 66 is also called Seminole Street.

Starlite Lanes Bowling Alley at 1331 E. Route 66, Lebanon.

Munger Moss Motel (1946) at 1336 E. Route 66.

Wrink's Market (1950-2005) at 135 Wrinkle Ave on right.

Turn right (west) at the T-intersection with Millcreek Rd./BL-44/Historic Route 66.

Bell Restaurant (1964) at 1180 Mill Creek Road, Lebanon.

Continue on Historic Route 66 at the Y-intersection, as it curves southwest onto Elm Street.

Orchard Hill Package Store (1946) at 311 Elm St.

Faye’s Diner at 360 W. Elm St.

Top O’ the Ozarks Inn cabin, behind the Treasure Trove Antique Store at 1211 W. Elm St.

Side Trip: Laclede county Library and Route 66 Museum at 915 S. Jefferson Avenue.

As Historic Route 66 nears I-44, turn right onto MO-W, which is the northwest frontage road.

 

Turn left into MO-C in Phillipsburg and cross I-44 at exit 118.  

Ruins of Phillipsburg Gymnasium at Highway CC at Phillipsburg.

Turn right onto MO-CC/Historic Route 66 in Phillipsburg. This is also the south frontage road.

 

Southwest of Phllipsburg, road name is also called Newport Avenue and moves away from I-44.

 

Continue on MO-CC/Historic Route 66 through Conway and Niangua.

Abbylee Modern Courts (1940) on Highway CC, Niangua.

Niangua River Bridge, single pony truss bridge (1924)

In Marshfield, road name changes to Hubble Drive.

 

Veer right at intersection with Jackson Street onto Washington St/ MO-OO.

 

Continue on MO-OO as it becomes the south service road into Stafford.  
Road name also called Main Street in Stafford and MO-125/Old Route 66 as it moves towards Springfield.    
In Springfield, road name changes to Kearney St/MO-744.
